We are in the process of defining a code of ethics not only for ourselves but for the industry personality mapping. We call these guidelines PMEG (Personality Mapping Ethical Guidelines.)
Ethical guidelines aren’t, and can’t be, an overthought. From the first moment, they need to be baked in to everything we do. Therapy is a deep responsibility.
We expect others to imitate our model, so, as a result, we are planning from the first moment professional guidelines for any other attempts at personality mapping.
We’re working with our Health Advisory Board—various psychological and health professionals working in this space with us at different levels of depth—to define these guidelines together.
The limits and uses of personality mapping is a subtle question. The Hippocratic Oath is merely a starting point for a serious professional. We need to draw the lines between what uses are acceptable and which ones aren’t.
As our technology advances—so do our guidelines. We are creating these in real-time and keeping pace with the technology.
